|
Beading & Jewelry Making - An activity that is fun for the whole family.
- Making your own jewelry is a great way to express your self through accessories.
- A easy and fun activity for children, just make sure that they are supervised.
- Beads
come in multitudes of styles and colors. You'll definitely find one that strikes your fancy!
|
Candle & Soap Making - If you want to make your own soaps free of preservatives or harsh additives then this is the activity for you!
- This project may take longer to finish, but the rewards are beautiful and relaxing.
- Think of what nice gifts personalized homemade Candles
and Soaps would be!
|
Ceramics - Although this project may be messy, many find crafting at a pottery wheel fun and relaxing.
- You could make some great personal gifts for your friends!
- The world of ceramics
is limitless! You can make whatever comes to mind, such as vases, dishes, or decorations.
|
Clock Making - Despite seeming old-fashioned,clock making is a time-honored (get it?) tradition of arts and crafts.
- Let's be honest, you can never have enough clocks
or watches, right?
- Clock making takes patience and dedication. Take your time and in the end the outcome will be great!
|
Doll Making - Like clock making, doll making is also a tedious sport. Therefore, a doll that you made yourself will more likely be a collectible
than a toy.
- If you already collect dolls, why not make some of your own to help your collection grow?

Painting - Like drawing, painting is another activity with lots of range.
- If you're not yet a seasoned professional, you might want to try watercolors
or acrylic paints. Once you become more advanced, then you might want to look into fancier paints and brushes.
- Oil paints
are the way to go if you want to take it to the next level. Animal hair brushes are the best type of paintbrush that you can buy.
|
Scrapbooking - Keep your memories safe and treasured by putting them into a cute scrapbook.
- Scrapbooking is a great way to reminisce about past times while you put them into a book that you will hopefully have forever.
- Try to get your teenage children into this activity, as well. We all wish that we had more memories of high school. By encouraging your child to make a scrapbook, they will be engaging in an activity that you approve of, as well as one that they enjoy.
|
Seasonal & Special Events - Holiday time is fun and exciting, but it can also be a little chaotic. Try to channel your energy into a great craft project to show to your guests.
- The changing seasons will provide you with a great creative inspiration for some serious art. Don't just stand around, draw or paint so you can remember it forever!
|
Sewing & Quilting - Sewing and quilting are great activities for older adults.
- While this activity doesn't necessarily provide instant gratification, after all of your hard work you will have a beautiful quilt as a reward.
|
Wood Carving - Wood carving and woodworking are very specialized and unique activities.
- This acitivity is not for kids. Many of the tools involved are sharp and dangerous.
- Make sure that you know what you are doing before you start. Maybe take a class or tutorial.
